The Khedive’s Villa is a work in Beykoz District of Istanbul Province. It was built by Abbas Hilmi Pasha, the last hydiv of Egypt, in 1907 by the Italian architect Delfo Seminati. Khedive’s is a title given to the governors of Egypt during the Ottoman Empire. Khedive’s Abbas Hilmi Pasha was one of the Egyptian governors of the Ottoman Empire.

In 1907, Abbas Hilmi Pasha, a young man, built a magnificent Villa in the style of “Art Nouveau” and a tower overlooking the Bosphorus on an area of 1000 square meters by Italian Architect Delfo Seminati.After the British occupied Egypt, Abbas Hilmi Pasha’s title of Khedive’slik was taken away from him by the royal system. Nevertheless, Pasha’s family lived in this Villa until 1937. Villa was sold to Istanbul Municipality in the same year.
